The Evolution from TeleTalk to TeleBiz
Prior to launching TeleBiz in 2007, business owner Rod Harris had established and owned TeleTalk; a premium Telco Dealership which operated from 1992 to 2007.  TeleTalk was the first Telstra Dealer appointed in Australia (1992-2005) and then became the first Optus Master Partner appointed in Australia (2005-2006). TeleTalk established numerous branches across QLD & NT and won numerous customer and industry excellence awards.
But Harris was uneasy because Telco Dealers were being forced to operate under single up-stream Telco providers,  which limited the ability for TeleTalk to provide a wider choice of products & services to its 50,000+ growing client database. Something needed to change, so Harris made a bold and unprecedented Telco sector decision by launching “TeleBiz” in 2007 as an “Independent Telco Regional Service Provider (RSP)”, gifting TeleBiz unfettered freedom to supply its clients with the best choices and pricing options from multiple up-line carriage suppliers. Installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining our excellent quality NBN/PBX/VoIP business phone systems
TeleBiz is an authorised Sales/Service Dealer for Alcatel, Hybrex, LG Aria, NEC & Panasonic, and many others.
Essential Applicant credentials:
1. Open ACMA license with endorsements or willingness to quickly obtain such at their cost.
2. Prior experienced in installing/maintaining commercial IT Networks and/or business phone systems
(you maybe an IT Technician also willing to maintain PBX systems with appropriate accredited training*).
3. Prior experience in configuring/fault finding within IT routing/networks and maybe SIP/VOIP networks.
4. Prior experience in basic configuring and basic fault finding within IT&T cabling networks (infrastructure).
5. Appropriate personal presentation with average or higher English literacy (writing and verbal skills)
6. QLD Drivers license (or ability to obtain one) and a safe driving record.

Be trained to install, configure and maintain business PBX phone systems, and associated IT networked solutions.

Applicants will only be considered if they possess the following “essential” credentials:

  1. Clean open drivers licence endorsed to drive a manual Tech Van.
  2. Good hand to eye co-ordination (use of hand tools for installing on-site system racks etc).
  3. Demonstrated interest and passion in IT computing and IT networking.
  4. Minimum two-year’s work experience building and maintaining computers/networking
  5. Equivalent knowledge to completing a Diploma in IT Networks and that of a CCNA.
  6. Excellent literacy skills, as the role entails emailing clients and writing technical reports.
  7. Demonstrate a responsible attitude towards the provision of excellent customer service.
  8. Clean tidy appearance, as the role includes working within occupied customer premises.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undergo a Cert 3 in Telco and/or Cert 3/4 in Voice/Data Networking (if not already done so) and receive ongoing brand specific training from TeleBiz and our suppliers. Future management training opportunities also.

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5pm. Remuneration by way of weekly wage (above award when adequately trained), rostered (paid) day off per month, other entitlements and incentive bonuses. Role includes a suitably equipped company vehicle.
