Business History  – Evolution from TeleTalk to TeleBiz
1989: Our business owner Rod Harris, established his first ICT business in Cairns; namely “TeleTalk”, supplying and supporting a mix of Office Automation (Oki & Ricoh), Satellite Comms, Two-Way Radio Comms, and Telco solutions, e.g. First Mobile Phone Reseller in Cairns & PBX Systems.
1992: TeleTalk was appointed the first Telstra Dealer in Australia in for the next 13 years prospered as the largest regional Telstra Dealership.
1995: TeleTalk established the first OEM accredited Mobile Phone Repair Centre north of Brisbane and for over ten years we were ranked 3rd largest in Australia.
2005: TeleTalk appointed first Optus Master Partner in Australia (2005-2006), and established numerous branches across QLD & NT. 

1989-2006: TeleTalk achieved many prestigious milestones and won numerous customer service excellence awards, eg. Top six Telstra Dealerships and was consistently rated #1 for Mobile Phone Repairs. However,
Harris was uneasy operating under single up-stream Telco providers (Telstra, then Optus), which was limiting TeleTalk’s ability to provide a wider choice of products & services for its 50,000+ growing client database. Something needed to change!

2007, Harris made a bold decision and launched “TeleBiz”, Australia’s first truly “Independent” Comms and Carriage Service Provider (CSP), capable of providing every category of Telco solution to Businesses. In effect, TeleBiz is a Telco Broker with the freedom to source and supply its clients with the best choices and best pricing options available on the market, as compared to single-branded suppliers who are limited in their offerings, and therefore act in the best interests of their shareholders; not necessarily what is best for the customer!

TeleBiz is a success story and has experienced net client-growth each week since inception, and has an impeccable reputation, e.g. our client “churn in/out ratio” is an outstanding 98:2, which is the most successful ratio of a CSP in Australia. An exciting role for an experienced and accomplished ICT-Telco Sales Manager to help us refresh our strategic sales development model and  manage the recruitment, training and motivation of sales and marketing teams, e.g. inbound/outbound call centre, inhouse retail and outbound B2B in-field Sales Executives and e-marketing. When comparing our capabilities in the market place, TeleBiz has the best range of products at the right price with excellent after-sales and technical support. Our average closing rate is over 95%. 
The position reports directly to the Managing Director (Company owner) and applicants must be able to demonstrate prior success in a Sales management spanning at least two years, and have relative experience overseeing e-commerce as primary marketing mediums. 
Remuneration by way of Salary, fully maintained vehicle, performance incentives (monthly commission and ongoing airtime revenue) and other entitlements. Overall Total Earnings anticipated at over $100k plus p/a, and the opportunity to progress within the company, e.g. CEO.

Installing, configuring, and maintaining PBX/SIP (VoIP) systems (On-Premise & Cloud PBX)
Brand names we sell and/or service include 3CX, Alcatel, Asterix, Hybrex, LG  NEC & Panasonic, plus others.
Essential Applicant credentials:
1. ACMA cabling license or ability to obtain asap. 
2. Minimum two years of recent experience installing and maintaining PBX Systems or commercial ICT Networks (you may be an ICT Technician willing to cross-train into PBX systems (TeleBiz has access to accredited training).
3. Prior experience in deploying, configuring, and fault-finding with routers and SIP (VOIP) carriage is essential.
4. Prior experience diagnosing & repairing structured cabling is essential.
5. High standard of personal hygiene essential.
6. High English language literacy skills (written & verbal) is essential
7. QLD Drivers license (or ability to obtain one) and a safe driving record.
8. Your own PBX Technician tool kit with the basic & essential fit-off devices.

  5. Equivalent knowledge to completing a Diploma in IT Networks and that of a CCNA.
  6. Excellent literacy skills, as the role entails emailing clients and writing technical reports.
  7. Demonstrate a responsible attitude towards the provision of excellent customer service.
  8. Clean tidy appearance, as the role includes working within occupied customer premises.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to undergo a Cert 3 in Telco and/or Cert 3/4 in Voice/Data Networking (if not already done so) and receive ongoing brand specific training from TeleBiz and our suppliers. Future management training opportunities also.
